Since its establishment in 2009, the Wind Turbine Section has completed one national international science and technology cooperation project, one major project in Shanxi Province, two key research and development Programs (key projects) in Shanxi Province, and one special project for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Shanxi Province; It has obtained authorized patent 57 items intotal, won the first prize of Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Award one time、the second prize of Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Award one time.
The Wind Turbine Section is responsible for wind turbine design and key technology research, there are several design research groups. The research fields include wind farm macro layout, wind resource assessment, wind turbine Overall design, test analysis, intelligent software development, and wind farm intelligent management. It has a design and development platform consisting of WT, GH Bladed, UG-NX, ANSYS, and NX-Nastran.
The 1.5/2/2.5/3/5MW series wind turbines developed by TYHI company have been mass-produced, they can adapt to various complex environmental and wind resource conditions such as low wind speed, high altitude, extremely low temperature and offshore condition. The 5MW/153 typhoon offshore wind turbine have filled the blank of similar products in China and reached the international advanced level.
The design of wind turbine section covers mechanical, electrical, control, software development, load calculation, micro-siting, etc. Over the years, it has cultivated an excellent Research and development team. The proportion of graduates and above is 42%, and the proportion of engineers and above is 76%, it has created “Shanxi large-scale wind turbine science and technology innovation team”.
The wind turbine section develops production,study,research,application integrated coorpration mode with universities and research institution both home and abroad in the field of research-development-innovation-service. It has successively cooperated with China Three Gorges Corporation, Dalian University of Technology, Chongqing University, Danish MTA Company, British GH Company, Shenzhen Hope Wind Company, and built a perfect technology innovation platform to continuously promote the development of wind turbine related technologies.
