TZ Forging Machinery Design Institute was founded in 1958, which is a professional research institute in the field of forging equipment. It mainly develops forging, extrusion, stamping and other special forming equipment with advanced three-dimensional parametric design methods and professional analysis software. It can perform mechanical analysis, dynamic analysis of the hydraulic system, multi-field coupling analysis of temperature and stress, metal material extrusion and forging process analysis, also complete sets of intelligent control and management, remote diagnosis and service technologies.
After more than 60 years of development, TZ Forging Machinery Design Institute has won more than 20 national or provincial awards and 130 patents. Prepared 7 national or industry standards and published more than 200 professional papers. Greater than 200 kinds of and 600 sets of forging equipment (Nearly 60 sets filled the gap in the domestic market) have been developed. The main parameters and performance of the Aluminum Extrusion Press series and the Double-Column Inclined Type Fast Forging Hydraulic Press series have reached the international advanced even leading level. In 2015, the independently developed 225MN Horizontal Aluminum Extrusion Production Line was successfully put into operation, which filled one of the international gaps of super large aluminum extrusion line.
The proportion of senior engineers in the Forging Machinery Design Institute is close to 50% (including 6 excellent senior engineers) and 7 engineers who enjoy special allowances from the State Council or awarded the titles of Shanxi academic and technical leaders, leading talents, young talents in Shanxi Province, Provincial SASAC experts. There are 4 mainly majors involving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, simulation in Forging Machinery Design Institute which also owned a superior team of old, middle and young with 10% professional technology leaders, 30% technical backbones and 60% young researchers. It has successfully cooperated with Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tianjin University, Yanshan University and other famous universities to obtain considerable technical achievements in numerous research projects relying on the company's production and research platform.
The large and medium extrusion presses, forging presses, stamping presses, etc. manufactured by TaiYuan heavy industry have covered higher than 70% of the domestic market. In addition, the products are exported to the United States, Canada, India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Kuwait, Myanmar and other countries, serving dozens of domestic and foreign large and medium-sized aluminum profile enterprises, heavy forging companies and steel industries.
