R&D Overview

The Harbour Machinery Research Institute ,established in 2011, mainly designs and develops harbour containers and bulk handling equipments.So far, it has obtained more than 20 national patents.

Through the introduction and cooperation modes, the Institute assimilates and absorbs the advanced concepts of harbour machinery design at home and abroad. After independent research and development in recent years, it has already possessed the ability to design various types of harbour machinery equipment. Ship to shore, ship unloaders and portal slewing cranes are widely used in steel, chemical, power plants, coal, shipyards and other industries, and some products are exported to Indonesia and Vietnam. With advanced design concepts, strict quality control, and strong manufacturing capabilities, our harbour products have won wide acclaim among customers.

Relying on the natural advantages of Taizhong Binhai Heavy Dock, the institute continued to promote new product development, continuously improved and upgraded existing products, and responded to 'China Manufacture 2025' actively and moved toward product intelligentialization.

Team and Platform

The R&D team of the institute is composed of three majors: machinery, electricity and hydraulic. It is a high-level R&D team daring to innovate, willing to dedicate, united and cooperative. The proportion of Social recruitment experts and postgraduates in key institutions respectivey are about 30% and 60%. The proportion of senior professional titles is about 24.5%. Since the beginning of its establishment, it has kept up with the pace of other factories in the industry. Now it has mastered the core technology and completed the research and development of the serialization of harbour machinery. At the same time, we have extensively carried out the mode of the combination of production, learn and research, and actively cooperated with many universities such as Tianjin Polytechnic University and Shanghai Maritime University to make use of university resources and advantage to solve technical problems and carry out intelligent research and development of harbour machinery.

Achievements

In  2016, 60 t quayside container crane was developed.

Realize  self-design of large quayside bridges and successfully export them to foreign  countries

In  2014, we developed an environmentally friendly round yard stacker-reclaimer.

It  has the ability to design the stacker and reclaimer  for the circular material yard with the largest rotary radius in China.
