R&D Overview

Established in 1957, Steel Rolling Institute is one of the important design and development bases of the national steel rolling and metallurgical equipment. It was the only designated steel tube equipment design unit in the country. Now, Steel Rolling Institute is mainly engaged in the design, development and process research of complete rolling equipment for seamless steel pipe, large diameter straight seam welded pipe, sheet and strip steel. Over the past 60 years, we have maintained a leading position in the research and development of rolling equipment and rolling process. The R&D and manufacturing capacity of seamless steel tube mills has ranked the first echelon in the world, and the design and development of large-caliber seamless steel tube production equipment is at the forefront of the world, with a market share of more than 90%. At the same time, as a EPC contractor, we are your leading partner in the world of seamless steel tube, because we have the most perfect and complete series and the most achievements.

Steel Rolling Institute has formulated 7 mechanical industry standards, been authorized more than 160 patents, won 1 National Invention Award, 3 National Science and Technology Awards and 23 Provincial and Ministerial Awards.
